DONOR FORM

We'll soon be building the new Pinehurst Room and addition all along the southern wall of the Arabian Theatre - exactly where the old Pinehurst Hotel stood from 1914 until it was demolished in 1988!

When the Arabian was built in 1927 it had a common wall with the Pinehurst and there was even a secret courtesy door that went directly from the hotel into the side of the Arabian's Lobby. We'll be reopening that side entrance and building what we'll be calling the Pinehurst Room with an extension to our lobby (with lots of new restrooms, ladies!) Behind that will be a new set construction and storage area, and then back near the existing stage area will be a new green room for our casts.

LLT'S LAUREL MUSEUM

We plan to use the new Pinehurst Room as a mini 'Laurel Museum' to showcase lots of old photographs of the old Pinehurst Hotel, the Arabian and Strand Theatres and other great old photos of downtown Laurel.

We'll also display any actual items we can find from the hotel or the theatres. Already in our collection are tickets and game cards from the Arabian, as well as silverware, a stain glassed sign and a chandelier from the Pinehurst.

If you have anything we could add to our collection, please get in touch with us at lltarabian@gmail.com Menus, matchbooks, glasses or serving-ware, postcards, stationary - absolutely anything that is out there would be a great addition for everyone to see and enjoy!

OUR PINEHURST ROOM DRIVE

We need the entire Pine Belt to come together to help with this effort. YOU can become a supporting player in our efforts! LLT is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and all donations are tax-deductible. Purchase a donor tile with your name or business on it, and it will be part of the Wall of Honor in the new Pinehurst Room - an entire wall of engraved tiles! This could also be a special gift in memory or in honor of a friend or family member. What a wonderful way to remember a loved one! Also available will be the naming rights to the three main new rooms.

AN UPDATE ON THE PINEHURST DRIVE

Dear Donors,

The Laurel Little Theatre Board of Trustees thanks you for your generous gift or pledge toward our “Raise the Roof” Capital Campaign. As of this Fall 2014, we are a quarter of the way to our financial goal and want to report on our progress.

While we are not sufficiently funded to begin construction, we are fully resolved to continue our fund raising efforts and hope to maintain and perhaps increase our momentum. In that light we ask that if you have made a pledge to please consider raising that pledge and/or extending it another year or two so that we can count on that funding.

Our plan is to construct the 150' by 19' addition to the south side of the theatre. This addition will run the entire length of the building from the front door to the back parking area and vertically from street level to the roof. Within these walls and on three levels, LLT will add new modern bathrooms, property and set storage, dressing rooms, wing space to move pieces on and off stage during productions and The Pinehurst Room for meetings and to relieve patron crowding before shows.

We still need to raise more funds to complete the whole project, but we owe it to those who have already given to restate our commitment to raising the needed funds. The Board of Trustees hopes to break ground by the summer of 2016 and will keep everyone informed of our progress going forward.

Thank you for caring about "community theater" in Laurel/Jones County and know that your financial gift will put LLT on firm footing for the next generation of patrons. We look forward to seeing you this year for our 54th season.

Sincerely,

George Jackson, Stan Riles, Tommy Thames, Frankie Bennett & Missy Sanderson
